M25 London orbital motorway CCTV enhancement scheme edit

This contract represents a step-change in the complexity of CCTV systems used by the Highways Agency. The use of an ATM network has added significantly to the functionality of the existing CCTV systems. Its use has required some considerable integration skills to provide a seamless coherent system that provides the police operators with what they need to monitor the motorway.

The success of this project is owed in no small part to the partnering charter that all stakeholders agreed to at the start of the contract. The atmosphere of openness and willingness to contribute from all parties has enabled;
(i) rapid decision making
(ii) additional elements of work to be carried out that have greatly benefited the overall project e.g. replacement of time-expired legacy equipment
(iii) best value for the HA to be achieved.
